Here's to a Happy and Safe Fourth of July

This Fourth of July I am looking forward to a day of family, food, fireworks and fun. Try these red, white and blue luscious libations to make your holiday complete. And of course, each of the cocktails below can be made non-alcoholic, if you so desire.

#1 – Red

Raspberry & Lemon Rose Sparkler

Ingredients:

1 ½ pints fresh raspberries

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 bottle Sparkling Rose, chilled

sliced lemons & raspberries, for garnish

Directions:

Smash raspberries with sugar and lemon juice in a pitcher. Top with Sparkling Rose. Serve over ice with lemons and raspberries. Simple and delicious.

#2 – White

Classic three (3) ingredients Pina Colada

Ingredients:

1 lb. frozen pineapple

3 oz. white Rum

2/3 cup coconut milk

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Add more coconut milk if mixture is too thick. Garnish with fresh pineapple.

#3 - Blue

Bloozey Lemonade

Ingredients:

2 cups ice

¼ cup blue Curacao

1 cup white Rum

2 cups lemonade

4 lemon slices

8 maraschino cherries

Directions:

Put ¼ cup ice in a glass and add a splash of blue Curacao. Then ¼ cup Rum and another ¼ cup of ice. Pour over ½ cup of lemonade. Skewer a lemon slice and two (2) maraschino cherries on a toothpick for garnish.

JAF converters would like to wish you and your families a happy, healthy, and safe Fourth of July. God Bless America! And remember, always drink responsibly.
